My name is Jen Ostapowich. I am in my fourth year of Education at the University of Regina. My degree specializes in Kindergarten to Grade 5, however my area of interest is primarily in the higher elementary to middle years. I was born and raised in Regina. I am the oldest of 3 children; I have a younger brother finishing his second year of university and a younger sister in her grade 10 year at Winston Knoll Collegiate. When I was younger I was a highly competitive gymnast; however I ended up leaving the sport when I was 15 years old. Since then my focus has been getting through my schooling. When I am finished in April I am hoping to sub until the end of the school year. As for next year I am wanting to sub again and be able to get a feel for different grades, schools, and school divisions before I sign a contract for my own classroom. Also next year I am hoping to do some travelling and see a little bit of the world. I have not been anywhere since I was 17 years old and would like to go places before I settle down with a career. I am taking this class as an elective because I am very uncomfortable with technology and am hoping that by taking this course I will be able to gain some confidence and bring technology into my classroom.
